This calculator helps you decode 4-band resistor color codes commonly found in electronics. Each band represents a digit or multiplier, allowing you to determine the resistance value of the component.
The bands are interpreted as follows:
For example, a resistor with bands Red, Violet, Orange, and Gold would translate to:
2 (Red), 7 (Violet), ×1,000 (Orange) = 27,000 Ω (27 kΩ) with ±5% tolerance (Gold).
Use this tool to quickly identify resistor values when reading color bands, or to verify components when building or repairing circuits.
